Healthy calorie deficit and active lifestyle is the only healthy way to lose weight
How
to lose weight in a healthy way is a million dollar question. Well.. Crash
diets… burning yourself in Gym or on a treadmill… skipping meals and instead
having black coffee… can these help?
All
these are absolutely un-healthy, unsustainable and injurious to health. Remember
the statutory warning ‘Doing these for weight loss is severely injurious to
health’. Then what is the way out? Healthy calorie deficit and active lifestyle
is the only way to shed extra weight from your body. Naturally you would want
to know what healthy calorie deficit is.
Body
needs energy as fuel, protein for building muscles, tissues and organ and
micro-nutrients (Vitamins +mineral) for various vital functions. Carbohydrate
and fat in food is the main source of fuel in the body. However extra fuel
consumed (read food consumed more than required) is stored as fat in the body.
If you are obese or over weight that means after years of hard work (extra
calorie consumed by way of more than required intake of carbohydrate and fat
through your favorite foods) slowly and gradually got deposited in your body
as fat.
Now
if you want to remove this extra fat from your body you need to create a
healthy deficit of calorie consumption in your daily diet plan so that the body
derives that deficit calorie by burning the stored fat. Healthy deficit mean
you eat lower carbohydrate and fat (so that calorie consumption get lowered)
but do not compromise on essential nutrition that’s protein, vitamin and
minerals. You eat healthy food full of nutrition and burn moderately 400-500
calorie every day through exercise. An hour of moderate intensity exercise will
burn 400-500 calorie. If you create a calorie deficit of 500 everyday you would
shed a pound of weight from your body every week. Technically if you create a
cumulative deficit of 7700 calories in your body, you would loose 1 kg fat. It’s
very simple…!
Instead
of sustained effort for healthy calorie deficit people try various trendy ways.
Friends… in all those ways you lose your muscles (not fat), become fragile and
un-healthy. Healthy weight loss (read fat loss) makes you energetic, strong,
and agile while un-healthy weight loss makes you weak, fragile, and tired. You
may look thinner in short run (eventually you would gain higher weight than you
lost) but it weakens your immunity, makes the aging process faster and many
other bad effects on body.
So
always focus on fat loss not weight loss… Go the old-fashioned way and focus on
healthy active lifestyle not the short cuts. Stay healthy!!
What you have written is 100 percent right. I have tried it all like skipping meal, working out in a gym like a maniac etc.A you said it only gives you short term results.
